Terms of Service — SlideTempo

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using SlideTempo at slidetempo.com (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

SlideTempo is a presentation timing analysis tool. Users upload PowerPoint (.pptx) or PDF files and receive probability-based estimates of presentation duration using Monte Carlo simulation. The Service provides timing predictions, not guarantees.

3. Accounts

You may create an account using Google sign-in or email/password registration.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
You may delete your account at any time from your Account page.

4. File Uploads

You may only upload files that you have the right to use.
Uploaded files are processed to extract structural data (word counts, slide types) for analysis. We do not use your content for any other purpose.
Files are subject to size limits as displayed in the upload interface.
You retain all ownership rights to your uploaded content.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
Upload malicious files or attempt to exploit vulnerabilities
Circumvent rate limits or abuse the Service infrastructure
Create multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits
Reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the Service
Use automated tools to scrape or bulk-access the Service

6. Payments & Subscriptions

The Service offers free, single-analysis, and Pro subscription tiers.
All payments are processed securely through Stripe.
Single analysis credits are non-refundable once used.
Pro subscriptions renew automatically. You may cancel at any time through the billing portal; access continues until the end of the billing period.
We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to active subscribers.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

The timing estimates will be accurate for your specific presentation delivery
The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
Results will meet your specific requirements

SlideTempo provides probabilistic estimates based on statistical modeling. Actual presentation duration depends on many factors (speaker pace, audience interaction, technical difficulties) that cannot be fully predicted.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SlideTempo and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in abusive behavior. You may delete your account at any time, which will remove your personal data, saved analyses, and uploaded files.

10. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, algorithms, and branding, is owned by SlideTempo. You retain all rights to content you upload. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your files solely for the purpose of providing analysis results.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the European Union and the Hellenic Republic (Greece), without regard to conflict of law provisions.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
