We model timing as a probability distribution, not a single number. Our Monte Carlo simulation accounts for speaker pace variation, slide complexity, pauses, and audience interaction. The confidence interval gives you a realistic range.
PowerPoint (.pptx) and PDF files. PPTX gives the most accurate results because we can read speaker notes, detect charts and tables, and analyze slide layouts. PDF analysis works well but has less metadata available.
Free analyses are processed in memory and immediately deleted. Registered users can optionally save presentations to their account for future reference.
Word-count calculators assume every slide takes the same time. We model reality: data slides take longer to explain, section dividers take 5 seconds, audience context changes pacing, and speaker pace varies. That is why we give you a probability, not a point estimate.
